2.0 D4D, Oil Everywhere

Hi fellows,

I have a Corolla Verso 2002 D4D 2.0L, 300.000 KM on the clock. I guess 1CD-FTV engine. Still going strong :) I just want to drive it some 100.000 more, that is all i am struggling for.

So the thing is i had opened the engine cover off month ago, -just wanted to take the egr valve to clean- and i was not happy with what i saw. there was oil all around under the cover, and i cleaned it to see if it will repeat. So i took the cover off again yesterday and it was same, there was oil all around. Not a bit at all. All the injectors and other places... Please see the pictures

The car works well, starts well, sounds well, runs well.... Only sometimes i see intensive white smoke from the tail pipe (exhaust pipe) and very rarely while accelerating from the 2nd and 3rd gear, i feel like a very small jump. Around 2400 RPM

And there is only very very little bit loose of oil.

What do you guys recommend ? I would like to clean this mess

Thanks

Hi you need to find out where the oil is coming I suggest you clean it and LEAVE the engine cover off,

Injector one is not connected one of the pictures.

I had some oil coming from the oil cap there is a gasket which can be re-newed but I tightened my car with pliers.

under the injectors- you can tighten the nuts with a 17mm spanner, or there are seals underneath that can be re-newed, I have attached pictures to show.

Nice info there guys

But... Yikes! Aren't you supposed to release the pressure in the rail or something before you start unscrewing the injector hoses?!

That thing runs at 20,000 psi! You could put an eye out with that!
