Hi all

i have a 2006 RAV4 D4D and to be honest it's been nothing but problems since 1 day after we bought it.

Its a great car and I really like it so just slowly working my way through the issues but the last one is the Dpf. I have had it checked over and it doesnt need replacing but have been advised there is a fault with the DPF pressure switch. Would anybody know what the part number is and the best place to get one (other than a main dealer)?

knowing which engine version would help ...?

Having said that to have a DPF in 2006 I guess that  it's a 2AD-FHV (177bhp)?

Devon Aygo or Parts King will know the part no. - they work for different Toyota dealers. I suspect that other than a s/h part from eBay or a salvage/scrappy your best source will be a dealer. Parts King will probably give you a small discount (he is Lindop Toyota parts dept.).

I'm having an absolute mare trying to find this part from anywhere other than a Toyota dealership who want £584.96 for it.

The part number I'm being told is 89480-42010.

A mechanic pal of mine suggested trying a Hyundai differential pressure sensor as they are the same part. Has anybody else heard this or tried it?

Hi Ian

cheers for that, I tried to contact the chap but realised the auction was completed in 2014.

Any ideas of where I can get another ?
