tractor units on their own go like hell, even better with the speed limiter switched off!

a couple of friends of mine are Fitters for Scania and i was treated to a little shotgun drive one day!

for a big bugger they can accelerate! and the turbo sounds incredible!

also theres a STOP pin on the speedo at 70mph (similar to the rest pin on most cars) it went straight round and you could see the needle bending on the pin trying to push past!

We've got some tractor units with selectronic gearboxes (similar to sequential), no clutch, you just step on the gas and tap the stick forward, slightly to go one gear at a time, or a bit harder to jump two gears (only 12 to play with and no splitter (shame :) ))
