Race Wars!

Hya, i got this forum address form the Lexus owwners club forum administrator

Im here to introduce a new car club/event called Race Wars

The interest has been HUGE and welcomed by scooby,lexus,nissan,calibra,pugsport and vauxhall clubs

Event Includes: Quatermile one on one, Use of any other tracks, Shine and show comp, Sound off, Prizes, Skid pans(depending), Lots of BEER! and music my Fav:)

And anything else members can come up with which wont cost me too much.

Full saftey teams and stewards will be provided and securitystaff to kick out the 'typical boy racer' types that cause problems. Like donutting in the car park for example.

Free membership.

Somebody asked me about a race track that charges £35 a car for a track day event and asked why he should join race wars. I replied "Well, That track will charge £35 a car if you take 10 or 300 people, i find tracks that charge by the hour so i can reduce ticket prices from £35 per car to only £15 per car and hopefully for a weekend and not a day event"

Defo sounds interesting, would imagine you'ld find more interest opver here than our sister site as not many of the LEus boys go out on track althought both clubs have good attendance records at shows... More the merrier.

Read your post on LOC about security and keeping the lax muppets at bay which is always a good thing :)

Good Luck with it and hope it goes well, cheap track days are always a good thing if they're well controlled and not to mnay cars on track at any one time :)

Pitty that the LOC members arent really track goers, my missus wants an IS200

But this isnt everyones cup of tea:).

The Lexus boys will no doubt still be there in force if it doesn't clash with a ny club meets...

Have to say the race-wars web site is very slow and some of the colours very difficult to read against the background (eg links page)... This isn't meant as an insult just a comment to try and help improve things and make it easier and more appealing to other users...

You need to get more cars in that gallery aswell, have some cracking shots but found nowhere to upload photo's to the gallery :)

Yeah the site is still pritty much in design mode, it will hopefully get better as time goes by:)

Send me your snaps and ill put them in the gallery for ya , its hard to sort out programming in flash to have images uploaded to it

I was just wondering seeing as you hire the whole track out have you ever hired out the Longcross test-track in chertsey?? Ive been wanting to get on there for years!!! :D

Nope ive not heard of that 1 before but get me the website or phone number and ill see what i can do for you :) the more ideas people have the more work i have to do :) but its all in the name of fun:)

Ill have a look about for that track but still try and post me the details :)

Its the DERA (Defence Evaluation and Research Agency) Longcross test track, that is used by the BBC (topgear) and c5 (5gear) the one thats allways on the telly :D

Think this is a contact number 01344 633052 but that could just be a club that uses it Cant find contact details must be hard to get hold of its used by lots of rally clubs so dont know how they got the numbers maybe worth a look

Well, yeah there will probably be a few nova's there but be warned i know a couple of them that are wolfs in sheeps clothing, And i know the chap who has the fastest nova in the UK i think his quatermile time was something like 11 sec

2.0Li twin turbo or something with NOS , dont hold me to that but im sure thats the one and last night i had a chap in a GTO Twin Turbo registered so its going to be an interesting event:)
