Started off ok with a couple of parties Friday & Saturday.

me drinking double vodka, Redbull & WKD blues mixed

anyway - sunday night me & the missus are just about falling asleep kids already asleep then BANG.

shouting swearing banging - her ex was drunk & trying to break into the house he also had some kind of dirty big knife!!!! (the kids are his BTW but they've been seperated for 3 years).

I remember "Bring him out i'm gonna kill him" & several other statements to that effect refering to me..

within 30 min we had 3 police cars & a riot van turn up

Every passenger side panel of the Renault was kicked in - luckily the Celica was elsewhere at the time & not on my drive.

The kids are now so terrified of him that theynever want to see him again & to scared to stay at the house.

I've tried to comfort them & tell them that he wouldn't hurt them - that he was after me but they're still in shock i recon.

I dunno what to do

Advice... tell him to turn to Islam... Drinking in excess is bad!

Seriously though that must have been shocking for the kids for it was their own dad!

All you can say is that he was drunk etc... and people turn nasty etc ... at least it should help them stay away from getting hammered when their old enough to do so legally.

Sorry to hear about it bud... quite scary...

That's awful James!!

You often hear of things like this and it must be terrible for it to happen to you, to involve kiddies makes it even more traumatic :(

I really hope things can be sorted in a way that will let you all get on with your lives in peace.

Glad to hear everyone is ok and nutso-ex got carted off with the old bill....

Terrible that he'll act like that in the presence of his own children! They'll get over it in time, all you can do is what you are doing - being there for them and explaining to them its not their fault for what happened. I would never be able to comprehend what it'd be like for my Dad to go mad like that so its understandable they are very upset.

As for him - he obviously needs help with his deep-rooted issues as well as his obvious drinking problem  No well-balanced person goes round to an exes house with a knife.

All the best to you all and I hope it all works out for you guys.

Cheers guys

it is a shock when it happends to you - TBH the threats he made we laughable - i was conserned with making sure the kids & myy G/F were ok.

if it was a 1 on 1 i would have gone down - but the fact he had a knife was a no no.

never mind - he had to deal with 20 odd coppers from Tonbridge/Maidstone nick (most of whom i knew) So they maced him & banged him up for the night.

Guess life will return to normal eventually.

That sounds horrific, for a man to try to break into a house that his kids were in while holding a knife & shouting threats at somebody says a lot about what kind of person he is, I'm not suprised the kids are terrified of him, how old are they incidently? Kids are very resilient though so I'm sure they'll be fine in time. Glad the police got there & sorted him out

Well things are slowly returning to normal.

THe police are prosecuting him with intent to harm & criminal damage & carrying an offensive weapon.

Hopefully this & his suspended sentence for Drink driving should mean he's banged up.

The kids still don't want to see him - our youngest went to school yesterday telling everyone a maniac tried to kill him

mehh the guy is a no hoper - the threats he made against my life were laughable.

If he had gotten in then i would have done anything to stop him hurting anyone.

I would have protected my familly.
