What do you mean by "upgrade". The exhaust fitted by Toyota is optimised for the car by the car designer.

I tried it last night in the doctor's car park when it was closed and there was only one car in the car park. It parked perfectly next to the parked car with suitable space between both cars . I reckon I'll use it when the traffic is not busy, because it does seem to do a good job and it's a "nice to have" option. It came with my car, I would not have picked it as a option!! I intend to experiment with parallel parking.

Hi, I have a 2012 1.33 T-spirit that has a keyless ignition and keyless entry. Now the problem is that the remote fob has stopped working. It doesn't automatically unlock when you approach the car and open the door. Even the buttons on the remote won't lock or unlock the doors. I have to take the key out of the remote fob and manually lock and unlock the doors with the key every time. And to start the engine I have to hold the fob over the start button till the ignition is on then press the start button. The remote definitely has power as the red light lights up everybtime a button is pressed but I still changed the battery un the remote but still no luck. I've even checked all the fuses in both the fuse boxes. Can anyone please help? Many Thanks

I think it's EU regulation, part of ISA system, mandatory in 2024 cars. Looks like UK opted out but N.Ireland opted in 😆, so I guess Toyota, as usual, is too lazy to release a different version of software. Hi, in uk hybrids goes through mot without emission testing, or at least has always been the case with me up till my last mot back in November 2023. The testers never turn the car in maintenance mode, most of them properly unaware of it anyway. They just keep the car in ready mode and in N or P to do their checks on wheels and suspension when the car is on the ramp. The test itself is similar or same to the non hybrid cars. 👍

My hybrid is booked for its first NCT. Are the inspectors familiar with hybrids, eg. how to run the engine in maintenance mode for emission test etc. any bad experiences

You’re getting as grumpy as me but I reckon, if you think something say it. I tend not to get so offended by name calling but I’d prefer not to get thumped! Because I live up in the hills, the lads at college called me the sheep shggr (pick holes out of that snowflake filter!). We are however hoping to get gas and electricity in our encampment so that’ll shut them up. My wife has had 3 Aygos and all the alloys/diamond cut wheels have corroded after 3 years max 🤷‍♂️

When not in use there is a small current taken from the 12v battery to do the utilities like computer memory, dash cam etc. a battery doesn't suddenly stop working it deteriorates and gradually run below the starting volts so that the time it can stand without starting will become shorter progressively

Hi all, I’m getting ready to purchase a new Toyota to replace a 2002 Toyota Echo. This will be a huge upgrade. Currently deciding between a Yaris Cross and Corolla Cross. Hi all, I’m based in Australia and am looking at purchasing a Yaris Cross however I can’t seem to find any official roof rack for the car. I believe our model differs from the UK and is similar to the Japanese model our at least made in Japan On the website it doesn’t show a roof rack protruding like the Corolla Cross GXL I know you can get roof racks that slide under the door however in Australia I don’t see any official listing (Third party available) Interestingly enough Toyota offer an official bike rack for the Yaris, Corolla hatch etc but not the Yaris Cross Rhino-Rack offer a third party roof rack for the “TOYOTA Yaris Cross Gen1 5dr SUV Bare Roof” (Sounds like the Australian model) but I’m a bit hesitant to use a Third Party roof rack on a brand new car. Do you know if this would cause any warranty issues etc? Another option would be to get a Corolla Cross GXL. However the Yaris Cross would be perfect if it could have a roof rack as I don’t need the extra size and price point of the Corolla Cross. Happy to hear your thoughts

This bit isnt quite correct. older models setup to use TM only are not INRIX capable due to head unit limitations (this includes all Prius gen4 2016-2022) happy to accept that a BZ4X may be compatable. But neither I ot the OP drive that car.
