Weird Sound From Left Side

hi,

My avensis had weird sound since few days ago, the sound coming from the left side. The sound was like something rubbing against . It happened while I was driving...

anyone has idea about this...? Is it related to brake?

could be anti roll bar link arm, quite common but cheap and easy to replace, easiest way to check is take the link off and drive the car (carefully) and if the noise has gone then replace the link arm!!!

If the noise is related to tthe revolution of the wheel then it is either:

(i) A stone lodged on the caliper or between the disc and the disc back-plate. or

(ii) The disc back-plate has been bent by hitting something on the road so that it now touches the disc.

Get the wheel off and take a look.
