Side Window - Avensis Gs D4-d (nov 2000)

Hi Everyone

Hope the combined knowledge of the Owners Club can help me out. On Saturday the window on the passengers rear side window (nearside?) gave up the ghost and when I eventually got the door panel off found the cable winding system has broken. I took the handle assemble apart and this is now not reusable!

Is anyone aware of where I can get a replacement (kit?) and what parts are available? I do hope it is not a Toyota dealer part with many zeros? I have been searching the forum for clues as to what the parts are called. I downloaded a workshop manual from a club member but it is probably for Avensis post 2002 and the window seems to be raised and lowered by a scissor mechanism, not a steel cable system.

Waiting for some enlightenment

BTW - This is my first time on the Toyota Avensis Club.

WOW that was a quick reply to my angst

I assume that it will be easy to remove the fittings from the window glass?

Yes,

Easy work to do.

But if unsure make sure u take pictures... and write down things

and when u join it, joint it in reverse.
