Hi all, I'm a newbie - Just bought a 03 1.6VVTi Spirit for the wife and the blower dosen't really have any power behind it on full whack.

Plus on the way back (after an hour on the motorway) stuck in stand-still and as soon as i'd stop the engine oil pressure light kept flickering whenever I moved again - checked the manual and ut saya "no cause for concern" R they right - Checked the oil level - OK.

Man thanks in advance

P.S. Does any one know of any independent Toyota Specialists In Preston?

Hi and welcome to the forum,

Check to see if the Pollen filter is blocked as this will reduce the airflow through the vents ( can be found inside and to the top of the glovebox ).

Might be the oil pressure switch faulty but would strongly reccomend getting the oil pressure checked if the oil level is ok .

Make sure you have got it set to auto and all the vents open.

It's temperature controlled, so depending on the setting, it will keep the interior at a constant temp and adjust the fan speed accordlingly, so setting at say 20 oC might only be blowing at fan speed of about 2-3 on the display.

If you set it to extreme levels (full cold/hot) then the fan will blow at full speed and which ever level you set it at.

You can change the speed with the fan button, for more air flow if needed.

IT MEANS CHECK YOUR OIL LEVEL NOW!!

I've had this before when going round a corner and it suddenly displayed as the oil prob, found out my oil level was BELOW the dipstick level, not good.

Had to drop in nearly a full 5ltrs of oil in my engine.

I wouldn't say i was lucky but certainly taught me a lesson to check my car more often
