Previa Roof Bars?

Hi all,

I have been searching the web for a while now in search of some roof bars for my 1992 J Toyota Previa. I have called a Toyota Dealer and they said they have stopped making them for my car and generally weren't very helpful in helping me track a pair down. Can anyone on here help to point me in the direction of some people / clubs / websites or does anyone have them for sale on here? Any information is greatly recieved. In case it matters my Previa has a Double Sunroof (moon roof).

Mine came with them fitted, if you mean the longitudinal ones.

You can buy crossbars for them from Halfords, but the cheapest I have seen are in IKEA - about £30.

Best to try a scrapyard, or specialist breakers for Jap cars.

Personally I would like a rear spoiler for mine, so will probably try somewhere like that

HI, first post from me, so here goes! (Hi everyone)

I have a previa without rails (GS model 1996). Thule do a whole kit including feet for the roof, which I bought.

Question is, they provide screws for those two little screw holes in the sliding door channel which have plastic grommets in. I can't get those screws to screw in. I've let oil soak in, but I'm thinking that the thread just doesn't feel the same size. The suppliers have already sent me a replacement set after I damaged the forst ones trying to be a little forceful.

Does anyone know if it's necessary to source these bolts from somewhere else?

To my knowledge the bolts on Previas are common metric ones. Have you tried drilling into the bolt and using a stud extractor to remove it?
