Anyone Good At Maths?

Since buying my Corolla I've used £121 of (super) petrol, and done 650 miles.

Does anyone know how to work out what the MPG is? I am completely useless at maths!

Not without knowing how much a gallon (or how much a litre) you paid . . . . .

About 1.10 a litre? No clue what that is in gallons.....

assumeing you pay £1.13 a litre of petrol, i do for tesco 99 ron.

So £121 worth of petrol is (121/1.13) 107ltr of petrol there is roughly 5 ltrs to the gallon so thats (107/5) 21 gallons of petrol so your car has done (650/21) 30.9Miles to one gallon of petrol

Lets take a guess and say your super unleaded was £1.10 / litre.

So that is £121 / £1.10 = 110 litres

Convert to gallons: 110 / 4.546 = 24.197 gallons

Calc mpg: 650 / 24.197 = 26.86 mpg

I had it road tested at a Toyota garage as I wasnt impressed with the performance, and they found nothing wrong. So I think it must be my heavy foot!

Will be selling it as soon as I can afford something else.. shame, as its a good car otherwise.

Wow, your 1.3 gets similar mpg as my 3.2, and I don't pootle about.

Taking it easy I got an indicated 34 mpg lol.
