Winter Wheels

Hello all,

Are all wheels, without polished parts on it, good to use as winterwheels?

I already have got one set of Lenso RS5, which had a polished lip, but just for spring and summer.

Would the wheel on the picture be good as wheel for in the winter?

Or is it not salt proof? :P

I think its just when the lips are polished the salt eats away at the plating and causes corrosion.

The wheel there should be a fine choice for winter wheel as there has been no plating just painting and baking.

He lives in Belgium could be a very different story.

Down in Bournemouth we only have one gritting lorry and all our roads seem to be covered in the stuff.

Yea, here in Belgium, when it starts freezing, trucks drive around, which put some salt on the road, to make the ice melt...

And the salt "damages" the polished parts, so... ;)
