Fuel Injectors

Hi all,

usually in the celica forum, but a guy at work approached me and asked if the garage was taking the p##s! he was quoted £500 for two fuel injectors. he has an 05 2.2 diesel avensis, surely this can be right?

If I remember correctly the going rate for replacing all four is around £1200 plus. Is the quote for refurbished or brand new units?

Modern diesel injectors ain't cheap regardless of manufacturer although it may be a cheaper if he can get his old units refurbished.

I can pput you intouch withsome one who maybe able to test and repair at much cheaper prices.

Speak to Feather Diesel in Halifax. They recondition and repair plus reprogramme fuel injectors and did mine recently which helped me avoid a £3000 repair bill from Toyota. The second injector seal failed and the main dealer made a hash of it and jammed the injector in the head. The car was removed from the main dealer and Feather fixed everything for £603.

They are a slickly run thorough operation staffed by professionals. Google them. Nuff said.

i am quite shocked at the price, I am running sard 800cc injectors and they were nothing like the price of these!
