Hi guys

Did anybody hear about the latest Toyota recall that involves a bunch of models, including Corollas made in Europe?

Apparently, the recall is related to a faulty gas pedal that, with time, becomes hard and sticky and eventually gets stuck and can cause bad accidents.

Pedals getting stuck on mats apparently. Sounds pretty stupid to me, surely if you noticed that happen, just take out the mat!

Only on Feb 2005 onwards cars, and mostly being US cars I think. Considering there isn't a European Corolla anymore I'm guessing the corolla referenced in the article is the US model?

The Corolla was still being sold in europe in 2005 though.

Nothing to do with carpets - it's a very rare possibility of a sticky mechanical linkage in the accelerator pedal.
