The ECT power on display light is on all the time. Could it just be a duff switch or a major malfunction with the wiring etc. I cant find a wiring diagram anywhere. Vehicle is a Exec. 2L auto 1994

Also should there be a display light for the overdrive on/off switch.

The ECT light should only be on if you have the sport button pressed.

The O/D light should only be on if you the overdrive off.

The ECT light stays on whether on not the button is pressed.

The overdrive light is not on whether i press the switch or not.

Further to my above post .I discovered that the ECT switch was stuck in the 'on' position. Managed to pull it apart, clean it and managed to get it to switch on and off.

Think the overdrive light problem may be a blown panel light bulb.Have now got hold of a manual to see how to get to it. Bit obsessed with putting these things right.
