Got An Aftermarket Spare Wheel ?

Well for the first time in years, I got up this morning to a puncture

Anyways, made me glad that I've had that spare lying in the boot for over two years.

Never tried it on the Rav when I bought it as I assumed (yes I know the saying) it would

be ok.So I gets all the kit out and get the punctured wheel off and set about putting the

spare on and all is fine and dandy. Now at first I thought it was my usual, having my

engineers head on and over analysing things, but no something was definitely bugging me.

The problem ? I reckon the spare is slightly wider at the centre than the Toyota wheel is.

The result ? a lot less threads holding the wheel on

So, I did use it, but only to get me to a local repair centre. And I now decided thats

all I will ever use it for, emergencies only. When I come to sell my Rav I will probably

bin this wheel as IMHO its not safe :crybaby:

You have one of these ? Better check it

Well at least it got you there Dave without resorting to the dreaded "gunk".

Good advice though.

Thats a shame dave - carrying it around for all that time! You should have said.... I have 3 spare sets of RAV wheels - perhaps one of them could have fitted!

Or even a set of landrover wheels....naw - maybe not?
