Avensis Idle Speed Too High

Hi i have a problem when i start my car which is a 1998 avensis the idle speed is as it should but when it heats up it also speeds up when i take off one of the vacuam pipes it slows down but runs irratically i was wondering if anyone has similar problems and how they fixed it

when you say it heats up, do you mean warms up to normal temprature?

You need to check around the intel manifold and cable and make sure nothing is stuck or snagged >?
