handbrake code c13a7

Hi all hope you’re well, i have a 2011 avensis 2.0 d4d. the handbrake throws this code, when parked facing up a slope it starts beeping exclamation mark and parking brake red light flashes saying release handbrake. when i release it, the “whir” goes on for longer and it says check hand brake system and the exclamation mark next to the odometer stays solid and the yellow parking brake light stays illuminated. i have this issue when disengaging and it won’t let me reengage the handbrake. however, if i take the key out and put it back in and the car is on a less steep slope (steep being my driveway like 10 degrees if that) it engages disengages reengages normally. i have been priced up £620 for an actuator from eBay and for a car not even worth £800, i dont have more than £100 to throw at it. if anyone knows how to resolve or a part number to replace i would greatly appreciate it. the two codes are c13a7 (actuator) and c1201 (engine control system malfunction). many thanks in advance :)

if the car is worth so little to you, scrap it, the handbrake is a complete unit used they go for £300 or £800+ new you need the correct one for your car as well, the only thing you can do is inspect the cable ends and that the calliper is working how it should if the pads and discs are worn badly the handbrake will not apply - lack of maintenance

c1201 is more than likely the ECU not being able to talk the handbrake whats a common code with C13A7
