Hi I took my Auris into dealer Arnold Clark because i heard a rattle noise from front n/side .

It was noticable on idling at 800 rpm but disapeared when revs increased to 900 or more.I never noted any change of noise when depressing clutch pedal at all.Dealer said it was clutch bearing and fitted new clutch 9000miles under warranty. When I got car back noise is worse as I never suspected clutch anyway I geuss dealer made a mistake my gain.

I am taking car back tomorrow for a further inspection but am at a loss as to what it is I would appreciate if anyone has similar problem and what was cure

thanks

A very good guess will be the airbox is rattling against the bodywork where the plastic clips locate, I solved mine my using a rubber washer to pack the the clip a little tighter

Theres your problem.........

You took it in to Arnold Clark...is there a more useless, incompetent and blatantly lying bunch of crooks operating in Scotland?

Before buying my auris, I had agreed a deal on an 09 Kuga from Arnold Clark Ford in Peterhead. They lied to me about a private plate transfer so many times that I cancelled the deal and saved myself £8K by buying the Auris from Western Toyota in Edinburgh (now they know how to treat a customer). Must say, it feels like the best descision Ive made in years!
