Hey all

The horn on my Corolla TS has stopped working i can hear a clicking from the fusebox when i press the horn but thats all..

Any suggestions on what the problem could be?

Is is as simple as just replacing the horn?

Thanks

Sounds like the fuse and relay is fine, have you got any way of checking if you have power down to the horn?

If you don't have a multimeter then get a 5watt capless sidelights bulb and bend the metal contacts out and insert them into the plug of the horn, then simply get someone to press the horn if the bulb lights up horn is knackered, if it does light up problem is further up.

Either way let me know how you get on.

I suggest using ear protection in case it suddenly decides to start working again. ;)

Do as suggested re checking for voltage. It could still be a fuse however, the clicking is the relay.

Most horns have a small "adjustment" screw (they are incredibly crude devices) to adjust the contacts that "make and break" on the armature within the horn.

I was hoping to find a picture but couldn't
