Corolla Gti - Wobbly Brake Pedal

Hi all,

As I progress though my 'To Do' list the next item is fixing my Corolla's wobbly brake pedal. Have absolutely no idea what is causing it, am yet to have a more thorough examination (not that I really know what I am looking for!). Basically when my foot is on the brake pedal I am able to move it left and right (up to an inch either way). Any ideas what could be causing this/a fix?!

this happens to every car i own/drive because for some reason i naturally put only the left half of my foot on the brake pedal and push, making the pedal loose and wobbly...for some reason ive been unable to change this habbit to put my full foot onto the pedal. could this be the reason the pedal in your car is loose? if so dont worry about it, if it really gets under your skin you can always tighten the bolt (ive not attempted this but i am assuming there is some mechanism for suspending the pedal which becomes loose)
