Porn company 'wants to hire Russian spy'

By Andrew Hough

Tuesday July 20 2010

One of the world’s leading pornography producers has approached Anna Chapman, the Russian spy, to star in an adult movie.

Vivid Entertainment, which claims it makes adult movies with "high profile celebrities", has approached the sultry redhead because executives believe she is "the hottest spy we've seen in years”.

Chapman, 28, who was married to a British man Alex Chapman and lived in London for several years, was expelled from the US earlier this month in the biggest spy swap since the Cold War.

She was later flown back to Moscow and the British government later revoked her passport after she had indicated her desire to return to the country.

Since the case emerged semi-nude pictures of Chapman and stories of her racy romances have been published all over the world and sparking.

In a letter sent to Chapman's US-based lawyer Robert Baum on Monday, Steven Hirsch, the Los Angeles-based president of Vivid Entertainment, said he wanted to make a movie with her.

"Anna was obviously the hottest spy we've seen in years and she was clearly the media's favourite," he wrote.

"Though she wasn't very successful as a spy, we think she can be a terrific actress in one of our upcoming feature films.

“We would be willing to send our top director, B. Skow, to Moscow to work with her.” Mr Baum was unavailable for comment.

Hirsch said his company had made movies starring "high profile celebrities" such as Pamela Anderson and Kim Kardashian.

The porn company also offered "Octomom" Nadya Suleman a €1m movie contract, which she declined.

Suleman, 34, who was unmarried, unemployed and already had six children, became a tabloid fixation in January 2009 when she successfully gave birth to octuplets in Los Angeles, and was dubbed "Octomom."

Chapman was one of 10 Russian spies exchanged for four Western agents released by Moscow in a spy swap on the tarmac at Vienna airport with echoes of the Soviet era.

They were expelled from the US after pleading guilty in a Manhattan court to conspiracy to act as an unregistered agent of a foreign country.

Details emerged after their arrests earlier this month of how they led apparently ordinary lives in America - several were married with children and had well-kept suburban homes - while acting as undercover agents.

Members of the spy ring were said to have sent information from the US back to Moscow in a plot reminiscent of a James Bond novel, using invisible ink, false passports and code words.

Chapman, the daughter of a Russian diplomat, was married to Briton Alex Chapman, 30, from Bournemouth, Dorset, from 2002 until 2006 and worked in London for about four years.

Mr Chapman has spoken of his suspicions that his ex-wife was being "conditioned" by shadowy Russian contacts during their marriage.

The Home Office is trying to bar her from ever setting foot in Britain again after officials disclosed that Theresa May, the Home Secretary, was urgently considering the case.

She has the power to deprive dual nationals of citizenship when to do so would be "conducive to the public good".

Reports have suggested that Chapman is trying to land a €200,000 deal to sell her story to the media and is considering posing nude for Playboy magazine.
