Door Won't Open

The rear nr-side door of my 2006 (Mk 2) Yaris suddenly won't open. Toyota want ~£500 to fix it, they think! Can I remove the internal panel easily and check the wiring? Any help appreciated

This might be of some help, the Spec is for a 2007 Yaris LHD, but should be the same for a 2006 model.

When you say it won't open, can you clarify what exactly the issue is?

Do you mean that the central locking doesn't unlock the door and that neither the internal or external handles work until you manually unlock the door or do you mean that the handle doesn't work to open the door from the inside even when its unlocked?

If it will open from the outside but not from the inside, then it could be that you have caught the "child lock" catch on the edge of the door and accidentally switched that on.....
