1995 Celica Gt Gen 6 Aerial

can anyone tell me how to take off the electric aerial? i want to replace it with a standard one as the motor itself has given up the ghost. many thanks

you need to be in the boot , first remove the long cover that runs along inside , think its 6 of the big screws , these screws usually break if you overtighten on rebuild so go easy - next thing is to remove the cover on the side of the ariel , this has a few hidden screws behind the rear seat , once this is off you will have full access to the aerial , you will need to keep the rubber bit that sits on the wing as its specially shaped for the gen 6 celica and nothing else works to keep the aerial sitting upright .
