Hi everyone.

Great forum!!

Just some thoughts pls .............

Due to pick up my Yaris tomorrow, just received a phone call saying that I cannot pick it up as the finance not finalized (have zero percent(can afford to pay cash tomorrow if needed (just thought i'd earn interest on money rather than them)). I received call at 16.40pm missed call on mobile, (have arranged for my insurance to start and everything) now should i just go in and pay cash for car, or should i wait and demand compensation etc.

Any thoughts on what anybody would do, and what I should ask for as compensation.

Many thanks

Welcome to TOC

I suppose it really depends on how quick you want to take delivery of your Yaris!

If you want it tomorrow then pay cash

I do not think that you should expect to get anywhere with compensation as all deals are subject to obtaining financial approval and your approval did not get through in time.

Did you give the Dealer enough time to arrange the finance?

It is unlikely that financial approval will be obtained out of normal office hours (9-5 Monday-Friday)

I have moved your post from the Members Introduction forum to the Yaris forum

Welcome to the forum!

Demand a set of mats, door sill protectors and a full tank of fuel.

Well, maybe just the fuel!

Thanks Guys, I am demaning fuel and headlight covers, getting it tomorrow yeppe!!

It was their fault, the financing wasn't done, the sales guys and the finance guys though that each other new what going on.

Was prepared to pay cash, but as the financing didn't wasn't cleared they didn't register the car with the dvla.

I must say this whole thing has put me off a bit of Toyota,
