hey all looking to import an iq motor to drop into my minisprint race car to run on methonal im in australia and i need to look for the motor, price and frieght. can anyone help on where to start. IQ not here in australia thats why i cant get on e here.

The 3 cylinder IQ engine is basically the same lump as used in the Aygo and the small Daihatsu cars, in fact I think it was developed from a Daihatsu engine in the first place.

Do Daihatsu not exist in Australia? If so get one of those engines,as it will be the same as an IQ engine as far as appearance goes.The IQ is detuned a bit compared to an Aygo, and I presume a Daihatsu, certainly by ecu variations and possibly valve timing, so I don't think an IQ engine, as fitted to an IQ, would be effective in a sprint application.
