Lambda Heater

Hi all I am still trying to fix my wife's 4.2 after now replacing 3 of the lambda sensors plus other parts and getting no where I am being told by Toyota that the Denso lambda sensors are not a genuine part and I should use Toyota ones, the fact that the Toyota ones say Denso on them and that Denso have confirmed they are identical apart from Toyota put their stamp on as well.

The original fault was a hearter open circuit is there a safe way I can fool the ECU to think the heater is ok?

I am sure the fault that so many people are getting lies with the ECU and not with the Lambda sensors but how can we prove it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Sorry can't help at the mo.

I bought my Rav 4 last week and has the engine management light on, uneven idling speeds and sometimes cuts out but runs fine apart from this.

I'll let you know how I get on and I'll check out your other posts. . .

Cheers

Lee
