Exterior Bulbs !

Hi folks

As of yet i hav'nt needed to replace a single exterior bulb on my trusty Rav4.

not one blown bulb in 7years :D

But if one does 'go' this winter.......

And this may sound daft but.......

Do genuine toyota bulbs have thicker elements than your usual Halfords aftermarket jobs.

As many years ago,remembering the days of Ford / Vauxhall ownership,i seem to remember replaceing bulbs every few months in winter...annoying

If Halfords is the same company as they are in holland, i would buy quality stuff instead.

There are plenty shops which give you good quality. For cheap products you go to Halfords.

You might want to look into good quality bulbs. I have recently and found out that Philips Blue Vision and NightGuide come in most tests as the best long vision bulbs with long lifes.

And i even found the nightguide bulbs in H4 to be at an Lotus Elise specialised shop near me to be one of the cheapest on the net (9,40 euro a piece).

Likewise only thing gone in 7 years was a sidelight - and even that went because it had been shaken loose on some rough roads! Now replaced the side light bulbs with LEDs and all the rest are still going strong.

Ah......well i thought it was just my rav4 was doing me proud..

So its more toyota excellence of quality of parts..again,toyota shining through :D

Well if any of my bulbs do blow this winter,i will buy from Mr T and pay the extra then,rather than pay for 'aftermarket' cheapies
