Hi all, I am looking for info and tips for a project I'm starting on a 1985 2.4L diesel single cab 4x4 hilux. It has got a large amount of drivers side panel damage including the inner guard. I'm wondering which parts and panels from earlier and later models are the same as mine. I have found a 82-83 cabin and quarter panels but want to be sure they will all match up before buying anything. Any info about this would be great!

mk2 will last you forever mate but parts are getting harder to find.

the inner panels should fit with minor adjustments but the outer wings etc are different. if the rear tub or bed is in good nik then i think they are the same, will definatly have same mounts on all body to chassis and all mechcanicals, axles and props are the same. on some others wings doors and mirrors try a company called roughtrax they stock a lot of mk2 parts at a lot less than toyota prices.

hope this helps

Thanks for that I believe that company is from the UK and I'm from Australia, if I'm right there are some differences between the Hilux's imported to Australia and the UK. I'll check with them anyway
