Previa 2.0 D4D - Auto A/c Problem ?

Previa 2002 year 2.0D4D - the problem is with automatic A/C. It does not start. The led is flashing on A/C assembly and I hear the engine is up slightly its tachometer. But the A/C does not want to start. I checked A/C fuse inside the car and A/C relay in the engine compartment - they are OK. Where can be a problem. Additionally, I was in Toyota service but they did not solve my problem. I need help.

hi mate

if you observe RPM increasing having switched A/C ON then the compressor clutch is in order. What did you mean when said /it does not start/? may be you meant - it does not cool an inside air? In this way you have to check whether or not the system must be re-gased. Cheers/Igor

It does not start: I mean that compressor does not want to start. In A/C is full coolant and I do not have to re-gased it. Where mayby a problem. I need help.

hello mate

your A/C compressor has an electrical clutch inside -- may be that is faulty. Besides -- check with coming voltage to compressor -- may be you have a leak of electricity.

Cheers/Igor
