P2002 Fault Code (Again)

Hi all,

just to let you know that I have had 4 2002 faults in the last 3 months and the car is going in to Toyota tomorrow for a service. It has been smoking a bit more recently too. EGR and ECU were all changed late last year under warranty (car is 4 years old) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed they dont sting me for a new cat! Not sure if the 2002 particulate filter is the exact problem as it could be caused by something else in the fuel/combustion/monitoring system but I will wait and see what they say.

Well as I had cleared the P2002 alarm they had no record of it but have advised me that should it recur not to reset it but bring it back in so they can feed the results back to Toyota. They had a 2009 T180 Avensis (?) in last week with the same fault and the repair bill (new cat etc.) was £3,000 but Toyota covered it. Also said that if the fault came back they would try and get a part-authorisation from TGB to do some of the work under warranty.
