Help! 97 Starlet Not Turning Over Or Starting

hi guys, im just wondering would anybody have any ideas about an issue im having... i have a 97 Starlet 1.3 and for some odd reason it just wont start for me...it doesnt turn over and nothing happens when you turn the key...when the key is in the ignition the only light that comes up on the display is the oil light, no brake light, no engine light no nothing just the oil light comes on and then you turn again to start the car and nothing happens...there is power in the car as everything else works like interior light, clock, indicators, headlights etc so its not Battery related...it could be alarm/immobiliser

any ideas on what it could be??
