2004 Landcruiser Vx Radio And Screen Keeps Switching Off

I have a 2004 Toyota Landcruiser. The Screen and Radio keep switching off which also controls the Climate Control and other features on the touch screen. After about 15 minutes of driving it comes on again and I have full functionality. I have checked all the connections and wiring which is fine. I do have a third party DVD Changer installed.

It's could be a power problem, and the intermittent nature means that it sounds like a bad earth connection. I'd start by running a second earth from the case of the radio unit to the negative of the Battery and see if that resolves it.

It will be the display unit, Its a common fault after they get to a few years old, same thing happens on the Prius. I've changed 3 0r 4 so far this year, bad news is there about £1600.
