How Much For A Repaired Cat D Write Off?

As you know, my car was written off due to engine damage. i am considering replacing the engine and selling it on..

Anyone any ideas how much it would be worth??

Cast iron is £200 a ton; scrap steel £200+ a ton; the cat convertor is a whole load more; the copper wiring harness stripped of the plastic is around £8000 a ton; alloy / ; Aluminium £5000 a ton ? ;

No comprendez, Websmin....fix it and keep it until it completely dies would be my way of thinking. If you get a decent engine, and it's maybe a wee gamble on what is "decent", you get your beloved vee hickle back, and more than likely be financially ahead. Now.....living near That Edinburgh...."be financially ahead"...now you're interested, eh?
