Crackling Speakers/amp Problem....

I've been re-doing my boot build and seem to have run into a small problem...

Occasionally when I turn my headunit on I get a loud crackle/interference noise from the Speakers.

The odd thing is that it only happens randomly...

I had the car off in the Tesco car park (pulled up listening to tunes fine)

came back to the car and the noise started..

turned engine off and on...noise again.

turned engine off, went back inside Tesco, came back to show my mate, turned on and...music...

now I am absolutely stumped...was hoping someone here would have some ideas.

I've tried different RCA's and I am going to try different Speakers this afternoon and also re-grounding.

failing this does anyone have any other suggestions?

cheers

The dome on the speaker itself mite be cracked slight ,hence the crackling on certain frequencies,my old megane coupe did it ,just lived with it lol.

Do what you suggested 1st and go from there

well after a fair bit of investigation it seems like my amp is actually broken...annoying as it is brand new!

when I unscrewed the amp and started to move it it made the orrible sound in short bursts...

A fusion one, EM something or other, I'll get the number later on haha.

I've got a spare 2chan amp I can use for the time being, just filed a return with the company I bought it from so finger crossed it'll be hassle-free! haha
