1St Service On My Auris Hsd

I have just had my first service on my Auris HSD and did in the end get the 0w20 oil, they did not stock any and said the 5w30 is put in all Hybrids but did order the 0w20 on my insistence, it did not arrive in time for the service which was more then 3 weeks in advance, however I did go in the day before to check and then cancelled the service date until they did get some, they were't going to tell me they did not have the oil so would have wasted my time if I had took the car in, when I did finally take my car in the oil was on the service sheet which I ask them to underline so there was no mistake and I had also put a sticker on the filler cap :) For those interested in the costs, the Toyota dealer is in Luxembourg and I will convert to good old pounds, the total service cost £127 of which £50 was the oil and £54 for labour, for me I thought that price was good.

Pleased to hear you got the oil for the car that was needed even though you had a hassle. It is hard to believe that the oil saga still continues.

That sound like a very good price for a service. I was wondering if this oil can be used for the Auris and Prius?

This is the one I've used for the last few services on my Gen III. No problems so far.

We've also used the 5w-30 equivalent on the Gen II, now at 110,000 miles.

Depressing that you had to scrap for the correct oil, as so many of us do.

But what a fantastic oil. I have the 300V 5w-30 for my Polo. I just wish I could use it for my Avensis T-180. I've got over 30ltr of the stuff...

That oil has a very good TBN so I'm guessing that engine wear will be very low using the Motul lube. Expensive even when there is an offer on the stuff! :crybaby:
