St202 Outer Cv Joint Problem

Hi,

I have a 1997 ST202. It recently had the outer OS CV boot replaced. Since then the ABS light has come on, and stays on, and I am getting occasional clunking from the ABS solenoid. Garage, (not Toyota), has run diagnostics and says the car needs a new CV joint!! I have had no joy finding one, as all the replacement parts I have located have a toothed ABS ring. The CV joints fitted to my car have a smooth ring. Anyone got any ideas?

As you have ABS, you need a CV Joint with a toothed ABS ring. Sounds like you've had a non-ABS CV Joint fitted.
