Just purchased a Yaris blue 2004 1.3 64k.

looking to do oil change wonder which oil filter removal tool is needed, and any oil reconmendations.

I use a chain wrench type.. easy to use.

5-30 semi synthetic is what Toyota NOW recommend and use..See the specs in your handbook.

(You can just buy it from them: most offer a discount if you buy a filter as well)

This is the type of oil filter tool that I use on my 1.3 and 1 litre Yaris'.Very effective and easy to use.
