Toyota Avensis 2.0 D4D 2007 - Sluggish/smokey Car

Hi,

I am having a few problems with my car and I was wondering if someone can help? My car takes off very slowly in 1st gear with a puff off black smoke appearing at about 2000/2500 revs. It does this in second gear also. I have carried out the following but the car is still playing up:

Removed and cleaned EGR/Manifold

New Air Filter added

Oil/Filter Changed

Glow plugs Changed

Fuel Filter Change

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Big Yin

Thanks Dervdave. How do you change it? Is there a 'how to guide' somewhere on this site.

Do you mean Intake manifold under EGR? Is it easy to remove it?

The car is running like a dream. For 100 quid I fully serviced my car and fixed the fault. I am sure it would've cost hundreds in a garage. Result!!!
