ive got a 4age im checking over before i put it in a Shell. when i took off the inlet manifold the tvis system was seized open. i never had the motor running. i want to know what are the affects/problems of using the engine with all the tvis stripped off and just leave it in like a spacer. im guessing less torque. would it help to remove all the tvis blankers if the head was going to be worked on?

If you bypass the TVIS then you will get no bottom end at all, its job is to give the engine more power there.
