I am a moderator over at the Lexus Owners Club and we have just had one of our members post some interesting Lexus news.

This member is called Spyshot - and has given us some good insider tips before, from contacts (s)he has in the industry.

I contacted Spyshot about this news, and (s)he also told me some interesting Toyota news too - so I thought I would post it on here and share!

This news is

2002/3 is the best year in europe for sales

Rav 4 sales up 60%

Yaris sales up 100%

Celica sales up 40%

Most Toyota models will undergo minor changes staged throughout the year - with the Rav 4 being done in September

CAP have given the new Avensis a resale residual value @ 35% , the nearest competitor is the VW Passat @29% which was the market leader.

The Avensis now has 30% thicker paint, and a diesel will be released in may

In 2005 toyota will be releasing a new supermini, smaller than the current Yaris, its estimated UK price will be around £5000
