Currently motor insurers do not have a reliable check of what endorsements drivers have on their licence.

A new DVLA database goes live in March called My Licence, which will contain details on what endorsements drivers have. Insurers will be able to check the database when deciding on the cost of insurance premiums, and, it is claimed, will be able to tailor car insurance premiums more accurately. ABI have estimated it could save motorists an average of £15 per year.

I'll believe that when I see it , it will more likely assist in making premiums higher for some folk...
