Oil Quantity And Grade

Hi Guys, I am a newbie so please excuse the lack of photo. The box where you can import a photo from your computer (shown on the video instruction) seems to have gone.

Anyway, can anyone help. I am trying to find out the quantity and grade of oil to use in a 2002 Hilux Tiger with the 3 litre D4D engine. I actually live in Thailand now, birth place of many Hilux and all info is in Thai - my wife is not so technical so can't help.

Any help is appreciated.

It would be one of the last two mentioned, depending whether yours has a Diesel Particulate Filter (suppose it may not). One thing to bear in mind is whether the above engine oil recommentations (which are for the UK/parts of Europe) actually are suitable for the temperature ranges of the Thai climate.

Many thanks Frostyballs, 5W30 looks a good bet, good point about the climate - here we swing between 13 degrees C and 37 C. So a tad warmer than blighty. Thanks again.

Just been informed by Toyota Nongkhai that 10W30 is recommended here in Thailand for my D4D - Frosty made a good point about checking for this climate - it never gets cold. 13 degrees C is the least I have ever known it here - good for my joints.
