The D4D has a vacuum pump not a servo and It's all in this .pdf attachment.

Pete, thats a great job! - sadly it confirmed what I already thought but its good to know the toyota method. The pdf refers to the servo as a brake booster, which is how a servo is known in the US and other places. The servo is powered by the vacuum pump on a diesel engine as opposed to inlet vacuum on a petrol car. Thanks again for the help.
