Got a Rav 4 from an auction.

Now the engine is turning over but not firing up and the cam belt isn't turning. Any one have any ideas please? Bit stuck. Thank you.

Most likely the belt has shed some of it's teeth so that the pulley is spinning but not transferring drive to the belt.

Okay thanks mate, shall have a look.

Had a few problems with it over revving in idle before, is it related.

Car was tapping a little then cut out whilst driving, now this.

mainly as your question is engine related is it a petrol or a diesel? The more info the better
