Twitchy Steering

Hi all, recently bought a Corolla which seems to have a steering issue. When you take a corner the steering wheel twitches as if the power steering is pulling at you. The problem is much more noticable the faster you go, at 70mph the curves on a motorway can be quite annoying.

It has occurred to me to get the tracking checked but the car dosn't noticably pull to one side or the other so I wanted some opinions before spending the money on it.

Anybody got any ideas what might be going on?

Have you checked the tyres for uneven wear or possible damage - especially the passenger side tyre?

As FB says, check for a distorted front tyre
