Probably a topic done to death but I cant not find an answer, So here we go:-

I'm looking for help with a 2002 Rav4 rear door Electric Window that will not go down.

If I operate the switch on the door or the main driver's door switch, there is a sound so I assume power is getting to the door. Are there any checks I can do without stripping the whole door out ? Or do I need to bite the bullet and risk the wife's wrath if I leave all the door innards strewn over the back seat for a week ))

Welcome to the club sleeping tiger.

Afraid you will have to bite the bullet on this one and dive in there.

After you have removed the mechanism for repair can you not prop the window up and replace the door card.

That may save you an ear bashing

Yes it looks as though I will have to strip it out. Just hoped there would be a magic bullet out there in never never land.

If I don't sort it soon my 3 yr old Grandson will be adding his 2p worth and that will be unbearable. Once he gets wind there is trouble brewing, he just plays on it till I have to buy him something to keep him quiet. Its his taxi and most important that everything is right. :giljotiini:
