2004 Rav Rusted Sunroof And Leaking Water

Hi, I have had my 2004 Toyota RAV4 for a year now and recently there's some water coming inside from the sunroof area on the days when it rains heavy. When I bought the car, the sunroof frame was rusted but it never bothered me until now when the leaks have started to happen. Does anyone know why this would happen and what could I do to fix, thanks.
