Map Nav

Hi Folks, new to Auris, bought mine today in fact. When I press 'map nav' response is ' system not installed'. Guessing here but does the answer lie in purchasing a Toyota map Disc and installation is via the CD player slot?

Which Auris do you have - first or second generation, trim level??

sounds like you have a car with Touch but not Touch & Go. Go is the satnav bit & is extra hardware - it can be dealer fitted but iirc will cost you~£700.

would have thought that a T4 would have had Go ex. factory ... no doubt Frosty will be along shortly with his knowledge of standard year/trim specification.

So it is a first generation Auris, which was done in two specs - T4 and T-Spirit. According to the January 2012 brochure, both specs came with the Toyota Touch multi media system, but the Touch & Go (which incorporated sat nav) was an option.

Thank you guys, both. Your answers do tie in with the situation here, and in my novice status I do appreciate your help.

Only Toyota I've ever owned before was a Starlet in the 80's. Not sure I'll be splashing out £700 to upgrade.
