Adding Phone Contacts

Hi I am a new member and my wife's 2014 Auris Hybrid has a Touch audio system. Our mobile phones will pair with the car using bluetooth but will not exchange contacts. How can I manually add contacts, I have checked in the manual and the photo's are different to what is shown on the screen?

Ensure the contacts are saved on the phones memory and not the sim as the system cannot access the sim, otherwise the transfer should be automatic:

On an iPhone straight after pairing

On Android wait after pairing as there will be two prompts that need action on the phone select "Allow" and tick "don't ask again" for both prompts.

Thank you Devon Aygo your advice was spot on, all the contacts in the Android Smart Phone were on the Sim card. Many thanks, and what a great start to my first Forum question.
